1. Introduction to Werner's GX

'Werner's GX' are four KML script files + four bitmaps for the emulator 'EMU48' (that's a program, which can simulate different Hewlett-Packard pocket computers via PC). EMU48 will be able to simulate a 'HP48GX' on a PC with these files.
'Werner's GX' is based upon 'Casey's GX with Toolbar and Touch Screen' from Casey Patterson und Sebastien Carlier (included in the EMU48 installation package).

Werner's GX offers full keyboard support in comparison to Casey's GX, where several often used keys only can be controlled via mouse: so you'll be able to access my GX completely via keyboard :-))) Also many GX shift key functions are available via one single key stroke!
Details to all keyboard assignments (German and English) you'll find at my pages German Keyboard and English Keyboard.

Also I've changed the optical outfit - my new bitmaps include additionall all available left/right-shift Alpha characters of the HP48GX as well as important keyboard assignments (in grey colour) for simple access. Like this you should be able to use Werner's GX intuitively.

2. Available variations of Werner's GX

4 different variations of Werner's GX are available:

1. 'Werner's GX with English keyboard support/GX Style'
(WO_48GXeStyleGX.kml + WO_GXeGX.bmp)
2. 'Werner's GX with English keyboard support/SX Style'
(WO_48GXeStyleSX.kml + WO_GXeSX.bmp)
3. 'Werner's GX with German keyboard support/GX Style'
(WO_48GXgStyleGX.kml + WO_GXgGX.bmp)
4. 'Werner's GX with German keyboard support/SX Style'
(WO_48GXgStyleSX.kml + WO_GXgSX.bmp)

English users only should use the two variations (GX- or SX-Style) optimized for English or US keyboards. The German versions are only accessable via German keyboards, because they have different keyboard assignments and bitmaps.

You can choose between 'SX-' and 'GX-Style':
in 'GX-Style' the colours are similar to the original HP48GX (pink/green), in 'SX-Style' the colours are similar to the former HP48SX (blue/orange).
I definitively prefer the 'SX-Style' because of it's 'warm' colours - but plwease take your own choice.
